This tool helps generate reports that tell administrators the permission status of users.
SharePoint Permission Report generates various permission reports to improve management. IT administrators can obtain SharePoint permission reports based on account, permission level, permission inheritance and more. These reports give the administrators a clear view so that managing the permissions become easy. Administering permission hierarchy becomes easier too. It is usually quite complicated to have a grasp of the permissions a user has on a site collection and the SharePoint content in the 2010 and 2007 versions. This report gives a clear view of what permissions an account or a group has on each site and for individual content. List and site permissions report provides a view of site or list permissions. The permissions level access report displays which users and groups have a selected permission level. It can also help administrators to confirm if an account has the correct permission level.
Administrators may be required to establish a clear permissions hierarchy when some lists and sub-sites within a site has fine-grained permissions applied. The permissions inheritance report feature will clearly establish site and list permission inheritance. List of sites that have unique permissions can also be established. SharePoint group reporting easily shows what a SharePoint group is made of, from the group owner to individual members on one page. Exporting the reports as an Excel file is no hassle at all. The reports can be analyzed further with the use of tools outside of SharePoint. Reports can be filtered by scope or permission levels. This is a very useful add-on as it enhances the native functionality of the SharePoint.
